We have an exciting new opportunity for a Part/Nearly Qualified Actuary to join a leading provider of insurance products for a 12 Month Pricing FTC. This position is based in Blackrock. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a general insurance role preferably with pricing experience. In this role you will be working within the underwriting department and reporting to the Business Lines Pricing Manager.
About the 12 Month Pricing FTC role
Duties for the 12 Month Pricing FTC role include (but are not limited to):
- Aid in the management of pricing projects to support plan delivery for portfolios.
- Ability to categorize complex data and very factors and assumptions used in computations.
- Oversee training of junior actuaries and oversee their work.
- Cultivate MI and reporting capabilities, assisting in the provision of pricing insights to portfolio managers and underwriters to support portfolio management, pricing and risk selection.
- Provide support to the Pricing Manager, Pricing Team colleagues and wider company on delivering strategic objectives.
Actuarial Skills required
Our client is looking to find an experienced Part Qualified/Newly Qualified Actuary with three years of experience working in the General Insurance. Candidates must ideally have experience of the following:
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with knowledge of relevant software and programming languages e.g. Excel, SAS, Emblem, R, VBA.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information to backgrounds of all levels.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a non-life pricing position.
