My client is looking to hire for a new data analyst job vacancy for their analytical team based in Dublin. As a multinational insurer, this is an exciting data analyst job opportunity to join a growing team and there are 2 positions available. The Data Analyst will support the company’s analytical and reporting needs and will involve day to day analysis and production of insightful Management Information (MI). The role be responsible for providing advice to departments and implementing day to day tactical and strategic analysis, including solving business problems using analytical and statistical methods and advanced models to maximise value delivered to key stakeholders. These are brand new roles which have been created due to expansion and it is a really exciting time to join the team in a period of growth.

Duties of this data analyst role will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Support reporting efficiency in collaboration with the lead Data Analyst, the Business Intelligence solutions Pillar and the Data Warehousing team.
  • Support the continuity of BAU and the delivery of projects
  • Work to solve existing data quality and data governance gaps
  • Execute meaningful and insightful reporting and analysis to support the strategic  and operational requirements of your assigned business area
  • Perform ad hoc analytical requests and research reports associated with your assigned business area

Qualifications and experience required for this Data Analytics role

You should meet the following requirements, but as always there may be flexibility on the following:

  • 2 + years relevant experience in an analytical role, ideally within financial services or insurance
  • Exposure and experience with large data sets along with data infrastructure knowledge, and comfortable working in large data sets
  • Understanding of business intelligence and data analytical tools e.g Microstrategy, Qlikview, Tableau and SAS
  • Use of programming languages, including SQL, VB, C++, Python, R and Java would be an advantage
  • Strong mathematical, analytical and communication skills
