My client is a leading general insurer based in Dublin city centre who are seeking to hire a Data Scientist for their non-life actuarial and data analytics team. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and have previous analytics experience – including data analytics, data science, actuarial or another highly analytical role. You should have a very strong statistics background and prior experience with machine learning. Experience using R and Python is desired for this role.
Requirements for General Insurance Data Scientist
Applicants should have a minimum 2.1 degree in a numerate discipline, including Maths, Statistics, Actuarial or Physics or another quantitative subject. You should have prior experience working in an analytical position of between 1 & 4+ years. My client is also interested in Actuarial candidates who would like to move their career into the analytics space and those who have decided to stop taking the actuarial exams.
