Enquire about this vacancyMy client is looking to hire an Economic Capital Senior Analyst. This role would suit someone looking to put their technical and analytical skills to use in addressing a challenging problem of developing and implementing an aggregation model for the SCR. This role will play a key part in the regular reporting and communication of Capital Requirements including actuals, forecasts and sensitivities.
The Responsibilities will include some or all of the following:
- Use statistical techniques to calibrate and validate proxy functions to describe the sensitivity of the balance sheet to the risks within the internal model.
- Check accuracy of SCR calculations and review and explain trends and movements in meaningful reports.
- Develop EUC compliant models as required to facilitate straight through processing and efficient production and reporting of results.
- Implement controls and checks to ensure robust production process and to preserve integrity of data flows throughout model.
- Prepare IMAP documentation and support Solvency II programme as required.
- Engage with internal management and provide support to wider Actuarial Reporting Teams, Methodology, Hedging and Finance teams as required.
Skills and Experience
- Strong technical ability with good appreciation of actuarial concepts.
- Familiarity with proxy modelling/economic reporting and report writing would be a definite advantage.
- Proven ability to independently review materials and form opinions
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with colleagues of all levels.
- Understanding of variable annuities and associated risks a definite advantage.
