I am actively looking for a newly qualified actuary or a part qualified actuary from a life background to take up a financial reporting actuary role with a difference. Whilst this person will report to the Head of Reporting the role itself is an independent position with unique responsibility for one of the companies businesses. This work is moving to Ireland and the organisation are particularly interested in someone who has strong communication skills and who is confident of their own abilities. This person will be happy to take on responsibility and in time be the person who communicates with the leadership team and potentially the board in relation to this particular business unit.
From a technical point of you need to show that you have had actuarial financial reporting experience for Solvency II and IFRS. You should have had some actuarial modelling experience and have experience and knowledge of Unit linked products and of course a background of working for a life company. You should be able to show that you are ready for a role where you can work independently. Initially there are no junior resources envisaged to assist but this may change as the workload is assessed.
