Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise strategic asset allocation across in-force and new business portfolios
• Support balance sheet optimisation, stress testing, and scenario analysis
• Assess investment performance, asset risks, and ALM exposures
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Actuarial, Finance, Risk, Investments, and Commercial teams
• Support the development of innovative investment and hedging strategies
• Enhance asset strategy tools, reporting, methodologies, and governance frameworks
• Monitor market, regulatory, and competitor developments to identify opportunities and risks

Requirements

• Qualified Actuary or similarly relevant professional qualification
• 8+ years’ experience across ALM, investments, capital management, actuarial reporting, or balance sheet optimisation
• Strong understanding of investment risk, asset classes, and ALM principles
• Experience with modelling and analytics tools such as Excel, Python, R, SQL, Prophet, or Power BI
• Strong commercial mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment

This role is ideal for a part-qualified or nearly qualified actuary looking to further develop their experience within the P&C market while working closely with global actuarial teams and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support quarterly reserving reviews and related reporting processes
• Assist with Solvency II technical provisions and regulatory reporting requirements
• Contribute to IFRS 17 analysis and actuarial modelling activities
• Support planning, forecasting, and reinsurance renewal processes
• Perform actuarial analysis and profitability studies across international portfolios
• Assist with research, methodology development, and enhancement of actuarial processes and controls

Candidate Profile

• Part-qualified or nearly qualified actuary
• 3+ years’ experience within the P&C actuarial market
• Experience across reserving, capital, or regulatory reporting environments
• Exposure to Solvency II and/or IFRS 17 concepts would be advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel and actuarial/programming tools

Salary

The salary for this role is circa €60,000–€80,000, depending on experience.
