Actuarial Manager – 12 month FTC

A highly motivated and innovative actuary is sought for a 12-month fixed term contract, with a leading reinsurance company in Dublin city centre.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a growing reinsurance portfolio, focusing on the actuarial oversight of new transactions.

The role:

  • The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing new business propositions, developing actuarial methodologies, and ensuring accurate documentation and communication of key insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with business development, reporting, finance, and operations teams will be essential for implementing actuarial modeling and reporting requirements.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Qualified Actuary with min. 3 years post qualification experience.
  • Experience in life insurance or reinsurance preferred.
  • Must have strong project management experience.
  • A diverse background in reporting, pricing, or consulting would be beneficial.
  • Experience in areas such as cash flow modeling, financial reporting, data management and risk capital reporting, experience studies, basis review highly desirable.
  • Actuarial modeling software (ideally Prophet), and data management/visualization tools.
