A well-known multinational requires a Chief Risk Officer to join their European hub in Dublin city centre. The role reports to the Regional Head of Risk. The role comes with excellent benefits and a hybrid work model.
About the role
The Chief Risk Officer will lead the Risk Management team and is responsible for effectively running the risk management function. This is a PCF role. The role has 3 direct reports.
Duties for the Chief Risk Officer include (but are not limited to):
- Oversee an efficient Risk Management Framework
- Coordinate risk assessments of various projects
- Maintain a well-informed ORSA and Risk Appetite Statement
- Communicate risk-related matters to senior management, Head of Risk and the CEO
- Develop content for Risk Committees and the Risk Management training program
Actuarial skills required
The position role would suit a an actuary with advanced understanding of the Irish Life insurance market. Candidates must have a Risk Management background and ideally have experience of the following:
- Report and Policy Writing
- Advanced knowledge of the Irish Regulatory Environment
- Stakeholder management
- Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills
