Our client, a well-known health insurer, is looking for Part Qualified, Nearly Qualified and Qualified actuaries to join them in their corporate actuarial function, in a Corporate Actuary role. This role can be based in Dublin or Paris, if the candidate speaks fluent French. The company offer extremely competitive benefits and operates a very flexible hybrid/work-from-home structure. About the Corporate role
This role reports to the Actuarial Manager and will work alongside a number of other experienced Actuaries to develop the Reserving & Actuarial Function.
Additional duties for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Assessing quarterly production to ascertain Loss Reserves, Mathematical Reserves, Claims & Premium Provisions, and analysing Future Cash Flows and Risk Margins across valuation periods.
- Contributing to Risk Capital Quantification under the SII standard model
- Model validations and key control assessment
- Regulatory reporting such as Actuarial Function reports
- Profitability Assessments and business planning
Actuarial skills required
The Corporate Actuary position is open to those coming from Life, Health or Non-Life backgrounds as the company has business in three areas. Ideally, you will have significant actuarial experience in an actuarial function or reporting-focused role. Strong technical skills as well as communication skills are necessary.
