A fantastic opportunity for a qualified life actuary to join a well-known reinsurance company as an IFRS17 Actuary within the Actuarial Function. This role will develop into a management position, and is a great opportunity to learn new skills in a very reputable company.
About the Position
Due to an internal promotion, there is a new opportunity for a qualified life actuary within the actuarial function. The successful actuary will join the IFRS17 Project team and will support the company’s implementation of IFRS 17.
Duties of the IFRS17 Actuary include (but are not limited to):
- Implementing and aligning reporting processes and models with suitable controls
- Communicating with various stakeholders on policy controls and to ensure best practice
- Solvency II and/or IFRS valuations
- Broaden and develop a thorough knowledge of IFRS17 standards
Actuarial Skills Required
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Life Actuary with experience in life insurance/ reinsurance. Strong IT skills are essential and experience in modelling software such as Prophet would be a distinct advantage. Previous management experience is an advantage although not necessary.
