A multinational reinsurer is looking for a non-life IFRS17 Actuary to join their group actuarial team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a global level in a newly created team. The successful candidate will play an important role in developing, testing, and maintaining the company’s IFRS17 requirements globally.
About the role
The IFRS17 Actuary will be focused on various elements of the company’s IFRS17 requirements and duties for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Calculating, testing and maintaining IFRS17 calculations, cashflows, risk adjustments and working closely with other teams to ensure compliance post IFRS17 implementation.
- Developing quarterly and annual IFRS17 financial statements.
- Building and monitoring the IFRS17 control process and changes to IFRS17 market practices.
- Maintaining documentation, contributing to the enhancement of the IFRS17 and assist with various ad hoc projects post IFRS17 implementation.
Actuarial skills required
The position would suit a nearly/newly qualified non-life actuary. Experience in reinsurance, IFRS17, and/or Solvency II is desired. Strong IT skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
