We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Qualified Actuary to join a leading professional services firm as a Senior Manager/Director. This position is based in Dublin city centre and has a hybrid working policy. The successful candidate will ideally have 5+ years post qualification experience in a non-life or reinsurance position preferably with a financial reporting, capital, financial modelling or data analytics background.
About the Senior Manager/Director role
Duties for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Reviewing profitability and pricing support.
- Responsible for training and monitoring actuarial trainees together and reviewing work completed.
- Reserve reviews, portfolio transfers, expert opinions, transfer pricing support and company valuations for mergers and acquisitions.
- Aid in the development of Solvency II, IFRS 17 and data analytics and applied intelligence.
- Provisioning of outsourced actuarial services and formal actuarial opinions.
- Liaising with a portfolio of clients and advising on relevant actuarial issues.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with clients.
Actuarial skills required
This position would suit a Qualified Actuary who has at least 5 years post qualified experience working in non-life or reinsurance. Candidates must ideally have experience of the following:
- Self-Driven team player who can work effectively both as part of team and on their own.
- Strong commercial awareness and technical skills.
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- Financial Modelling, Coding, automation and data analytics capabilities.
- Desire to expand both knowledge and skills.
