We have an exciting new opportunity for a Qualified Actuary to join a global leader in reinsurance as a Senior Manager – Actuarial Development. This position is based in Dublin City Centre. This is a hybrid position. This position would suit a candidate with 5 + years’ technical experience ideally with modelling, capital and financial reporting.
About the Senior Manager – Actuarial Development role
Duties for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Oversee the implementation of actuarial models and reporting across various departments (Business Development, Actuarial Reporting, Finance, Operations).
- Direct the Actuarial Function in critically reviewing and challenging all new business propositions.
- Collaborate on the design, development, and planning of Group projects, new transactions, and reporting requirements.
- Provide support to committees and boards throughout the new business approval process.
Actuarial Skills required
Our client is looking to find a Qualified Actuary with 5+ years relevant experience. Candidates must ideally have experience of the following:
- Knowledge of Solvency II and IFRS 17.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, a pragmatic approach, and a willingness to adapt to changing schedules.
- Ability to manage Projects including multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, managing teams.
- Experience in Cash flow modelling, financial reporting (IFRS 17, Solvency II), actuarial software (Excel, Prophet, SQL, Power BI).
- Excellent written, verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
