We have an exciting new opportunity for a Qualified Actuary to join a global leader in reinsurance as a Senior Manager Actuarial Process and System Development. This position is based in Dublin City Centre. This is a hybrid position. This position would suit a candidate with extensive experience in an insurance or reinsurance company and deep knowledge of actuarial processes and systems. In this role you will lead the data management aspects of projects.
About the Senior Manager Actuarial Process and System Development role
Duties for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Collaborate with Actuarial, Operations, and IT teams to design and implement optimal data management solutions.
- Communicate the vision and execution strategy effectively to stakeholders.
- Guide the Actuarial teams’ migration to new processes and systems, ensuring benefits realization.
- Develop an integrated vision for data management and modeling to enhance the Actuarial Function’s efficiency and effectiveness.
Actuarial Skills required
Our client is looking for a Qualified Actuary with significant relevant experience. Candidates would ideally have experience of the following:
- Data management, actuarial reporting, leading process improvement initiatives, leveraging agile methodologies and long-term project management to deliver results, as well as collaborating on the development of finance and actuarial systems, software development lifecycles, and change management processes.
- Extensive experience using the following: SQL, VBA, R, Prophet, DCS, Cyber Shark, PowerBI, Dax Studio.
- Thrives in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, particularly with IT, Operations, and Actuarial teams.
- High work ethic, flexible approach, and willingness to travel.
