An established international reinsurance business is seeking a Senior Manager – Actuarial Reporting to join its Dublin-based actuarial function. Following a period of sustained growth, the organisation has built a diverse and sophisticated portfolio of reinsurance transactions and continues to expand across global markets.
This is a senior leadership role within actuarial reporting, with responsibility for Group capital reporting and close engagement with actuarial, finance, capital management and balance sheet management teams.
The role will suit an experienced actuary who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
The role
- Lead the capital reporting elements of actuarial reporting
- Deliver quarterly capital forecasts and capital reporting outputs
- Analyse, interpret and communicate key capital drivers and trends to senior stakeholders
- Define and implement an efficient, well-controlled capital reporting framework
- Support the integration of new transactions and asset types into capital reporting processes
- Ensure compliance with Group policies, regulatory requirements and professional standards
- Manage, motivate and develop a small actuarial team
About you
- Actuarial qualification with typically 4+ years post-qualification experience
- Strong background in actuarial reporting and capital-related work
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to manage priorities and deliver to tight deadlines
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex topics clearly
- People management experience
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; SQL experience advantageous
