My client is looking for a Trainee Life Actuary to support their expanding Actuarial reporting team.  The person will help the organisation to meet regulatory and financial reporting requirements. The organisation is a leading life insurance organisation based in Dublin city centre. The company offers opportunities to rotate trainee actuaries to different areas within the organisation and provide full support for actuarial exams.

Duties of the Trainee Actuary role will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Reporting on the business performance via regular financial reporting, including setting of regulatory reserves and capital for both entities.
  • Performing data analysis to identify trends and anomalies and assisting in management’s decision making
  • Providing actuarial and technical support for queries from clients, sales channels and non-actuarial teams
  • Developing and improving modelling solutions to assist in financial reporting and new business pricing

Candidates will ideally have 1 – 4 years experience in the life industry, ideally with prior experience with financial reporting and/or exposure to Solvency II. Full study support is provided with this position. They are looking for someone who is confident and enjoys working in a team.
