We have an exciting opportunity for an IT specialist with experience working in a Business Intelligence team to join our client, an insurance company, as a Senior BI Developer. Our client is looking to upgrade their BI team to meet the needs of the modern market, meaning that this role will involve helping to design and and implement this upgrade. The successful candidate will develop the core reports, dashboards and data visualisation tools needed to realise this BI development. The Senior BI Developer will also be expected to develop relationships with business partners and staff in other departments of the company, so as to be able to understand their data-related needs.
Those interested in the BI Developer role should meet the following criteria:
- 5-10 years IT experience with the last 5 being in a BI team
- Competent in the use of MicroStrategy, Tableau or Power BI
- Understanding of data modelling techniques
- Strong knowledge of SQL, testing methodologies, Scrum, SDLC development techniques
- A knowledge of the Insurance and Financial Services industries would be desirable
- Excellent communicator & team player
