The Changing Face of Risk

Does your firm have a Chief Security Officer? If not, they may do at some point. This is a role that is likely to develop more in the future and candidates interested in this area should prepare for the senior positions that are likely to be available soon. Loss prevention, Fraud Prevention and Privacy all form part of this role. However as it’s a senior position the C.S.O is likely to be involved at the highest decision making level.

The experience required for such a role may include:

  • Risk Management
  • Strong understanding of I.T. – Digital Privacy
  • Knowledge of relevant law

Ownership of this role, dependent on the firm may have a requirement for a candidate to have a Security background. The C.S.O. will be responsible for the physical and digital protection of employees and data.
