<p>Our client is a well-established general insurer with a strong presence in the Irish market and international reach. They are seeking a Specialist Capital Actuary to join their Capital Modelling team in Dublin. This is a high-impact role at the heart of the organisation&#8217;s Solvency II internal model function, offering excellent exposure to capital modelling, regulatory engagement, and senior stakeholder management.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Key responsibilities</h2>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Support the ongoing development and use of the approved Solvency II internal model, including model code maintenance, parameterisation, and performance testing</li>



<li>Produce and review model inputs and outputs, ensuring appropriateness for the entity&#8217;s risk profile and exposure</li>



<li>Support the Risk and Actuarial functions in producing internal model-based risk metrics including stress testing for ORSA and ceded reinsurance assessment</li>



<li>Engage with the Central Bank of Ireland and the wider regulatory college on the ongoing use and development of the capital model</li>



<li>Prepare written reports and quantitative output to support model communication and validation</li>



<li>Ensure governance processes are appropriately followed and data quality standards are maintained</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Requirements</h2>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Nearly or newly qualified actuary with experience in a P&amp;C insurance environment</li>



<li>Knowledge and/or experience of Solvency II, with a good working understanding of capital modelling concepts</li>



<li>Highly numerate and analytical with a strong academic record</li>



<li>Excellent Excel skills; VBA experience is preferred, and knowledge of R, Python or ReMetrica is a strong advantage</li>



<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a range of audiences</li>
</ul>

<p>Our client, a leading organisation within the Irish insurance market, is seeking a&nbsp;<strong>Trainee Actuary</strong>&nbsp;to join its growing actuarial function on a permanent basis. This full-time hybrid role is based in , Dublin and offers strong exposure across a range of actuarial disciplines including reserving, Solvency II, IFRS 17, and analytics.</p>



<p>This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team, gain broad actuarial experience, and work towards full actuarial qualification with the support of a well-established international insurance business.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Key responsibilities</h2>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Prepare quarterly best estimate reserve estimates using established actuarial techniques, with accompanying narrative reporting</li>



<li>Support Solvency II analysis including Technical Provisions, SCR calculations, ORSA, and QRT reporting to the Central Bank of Ireland</li>



<li>Assist the IFRS 17 reporting team and contribute to year-end actuarial certification and audit engagement</li>



<li>Provide actuarial support across internal projects, including granular claims trend analysis and engagement with relevant stakeholders</li>



<li>Assist with upgrades to reserving software and contribute to the preparation of board and risk management reporting</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Requirements</h2>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field</li>



<li>2–5 years of experience in a non-life actuarial role</li>



<li>Strong academic performance and a genuine interest in the non-life insurance sector</li>



<li>Intermediate or advanced Excel skills; experience with VBA, R, or SQL is an advantage</li>



<li>Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a collaborative, can-do approach</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Salary</h2>



<p>The salary for this role is circa €50,000–€60,000, depending on experience.</p>

<li>Part-qualified or nearly qualified actuary</li>



<li>3+ years’ experience within the P&amp;C actuarial market</li>



<li>Experience across reserving, capital, or regulatory reporting environments</li>



<li>Exposure to Solvency II and/or IFRS 17 concepts would be advantageous</li>



<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li>



<li>Proficiency in Excel and actuarial/programming tools</li>
</ul>

<p>Raretec is partnering with a leading insurance organisation seeking a Reporting Actuary to join their Life Actuarial Reporting team in Dublin.</p>



<p>This role will play a key part in supporting the delivery of actuarial reporting requirements, including Solvency II calculations and analysis, while working closely with stakeholders across Actuarial, Finance, and Group functions.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Key responsibilities will include:</h2>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Producing and analysing Own Funds and Solvency Capital Requirement movements through Analysis of Change</li>



<li>Calculating and reviewing new business metrics, stress testing, scenario analysis and sensitivities</li>



<li>Supporting the delivery of Solvency II reporting and related actuarial analysis</li>



<li>Contributing to the development and testing of actuarial models, including Prophet and related data or IT systems</li>



<li>Assisting with experience investigations and assumption setting, including assessing impacts on Best Estimate Liabilities</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Candidate Profile</h2>



<p>Suitable candidates will typically demonstrate:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Qualified or nearly qualified actuary with relevant industry experience</li>



<li>Strong understanding of Solvency II reporting and actuarial reporting processes</li>



<li>Experience reviewing and interpreting actuarial reporting results</li>



<li>Ability to prepare management-level reports and present findings to senior stakeholders</li>



<li>Knowledge of life and pensions products, particularly unit-linked, with-profits or protection business</li>



<li>Experience with Prophet modelling and strong analytical skills (Python advantageous)</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Salary</h2>



<p>The salary for this role is circa €70,000–€100,000, depending on experience.</p>
