We’re excited to be supporting a leading global (re)insurer in their search for an Actuary to join their Non-Life Legal Entity & Solvency II team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified non-life actuary to work on high-impact Solvency II reporting and governance, while collaborating with teams across pricing, underwriting, claims, and finance in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
About the Role
As part of the Non-Life Legal Entity & Solvency II team, you’ll take a lead role in regulatory reporting, actuarial oversight, and strategic support for both the Group and its legal entities. This position offers wide exposure to Solvency II technical provisions, SCR calculations, and actuarial governance, as well as opportunities to contribute to cross-functional and regulatory projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the calculation of Solvency II Technical Provisions and Non-Life Underwriting Risk SCR
- Conduct peer reviews of reserving work and participate in discussions with Pricing, Underwriting, and Claims
- Deliver quarterly and annual Solvency II reports to committees, legal entities, and Group stakeholders
- Draft Actuarial Function opinions on Technical Provisions, Underwriting, Reinsurance, and ORSA
- Partner with Risk and Finance teams on ORSA, EBS, and SCR deliverables
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Actuary (FIA, ACAS, FCAS, or equivalent), with 5+ years’ non-life actuarial experience in Solvency II (insurance, reinsurance, or consulting)
- Technical expertise in Addactis and/or SQL an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to deliver under pressure
