Our client, a leading European savings and retirement services group, is seeking an Actuarial Senior Manager to join their Group Actuarial Reserving & Methodology team in Dublin.
This is a 12–15 month fixed-term contract (maternity cover) offering the opportunity to influence Group-wide actuarial standards across multiple European business units.
This is an excellent chance to play a key role in developing, enhancing, and governing actuarial assumptions and methodologies under Solvency II, Bermuda, and IFRS 17. As part of a high-performing Group Finance function, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Europe, supporting strategic initiatives, ensuring methodological consistency, and driving high-quality actuarial governance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain Group actuarial assumptions and methodology frameworks across Solvency II, Bermuda, and IFRS 17.
- Drive the economic and expense assumption-setting processes through experience analysis, market investigations, and robust model input validation.
- Review and challenge Business Unit assumptions and model changes, providing expert guidance on impacts to key actuarial metrics.
- Support Group-level initiatives including M&A integration, governance committee management, and wider cross-functional actuarial projects.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and continuously improving environment.
About You
- Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent) with 5+ years post-qualification experience, or an actuarial professional with strong technical and methodological expertise.
- Strong knowledge of Solvency II and IFRS 17; experience with Bermuda regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
- Solid experience with actuarial reserving, projection models, and insurance products across European regimes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Proactive, detail-oriented team player committed to governance, process improvement, and high-quality delivery; SQL or programming skills are a strong advantage.
