Our client, a leading life & savings provider, is seeking a Senior Operational Risk Manager to join their Dublin-based Risk Management team.
This key position will support the Chief Risk Officer and play a senior role in developing, enhancing and embedding a robust operational risk environment across the organisation. Offering direct exposure to Solvency II, ORSA, non-financial risk governance and enterprise-wide risk assurance, this role is well suited to an experienced risk professional seeking impactful responsibility and leadership scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and enhance the Non-Financial Risk Management Framework including risk assessment, controls assurance and incident oversight.
- Oversee Solvency II Standard Formula risk capital calculations and collaborate with actuarial/finance teams on SCR and methodology validation.
- Manage ORSA delivery including scenario stress analysis, model suitability review and reporting to senior leadership.
- Monitor 1st Line control design, execution quality, incident escalation and risk mitigation effectiveness.
- Support risk strategy and appetite reviews, contribute to annual Risk Plan and deliver training to strengthen enterprise risk culture.
Required Knowledge & Experience (Condensed)
- 8+ years’ experience in operational risk, actuarial risk, internal audit or similar regulated environment.
- Strong technical understanding of Solvency II, SCR and non-financial risk frameworks.
- Proven leadership capability with ability to influence stakeholders at senior level.
- Excellent communication, analytical and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Professional qualification in Actuarial, Risk Management or Internal Audit preferred.
