Part-Qualified Actuary – Insurance Consulting

We’re delighted to be partnering with a leading European risk and regulatory consultancy that is expanding its Insurance Advisory practice in Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Part-Qualified Actuary with a minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience to join a growing team working on impactful and innovative insurance projects.

Hybrid, remote, and flexible working arrangements are available for suitably experienced candidates.

About the Role

You’ll work as part of a dynamic and collaborative team of actuarial, regulatory, and risk professionals, supported by a broader network across six European offices. As an Insurance Consultant, you’ll contribute to cutting-edge projects in areas such as insurance risk management, valuation, and regulatory compliance. This client-facing role requires a mix of technical capability and interpersonal finesse – we’re looking for consultants who can not only deliver high-quality analysis, but also build strong, trusted client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients with Solvency II/BMA EBS, including technical provisions and SCR calculations
  • Deliver high-quality input on insurance risk, valuation, and internal model validation projects
  • Contribute to the development of ERM frameworks, ORSA, and climate risk strategies
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear, solution-focused communication
  • Participate in internal knowledge-sharing, innovation, and thought leadership initiatives

Candidate Profile

  • Part-Qualified Actuary with a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification insurance experience
  • Strong understanding of Solvency II and insurance regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts for varied audiences
  • Exposure to risk, regulatory, underwriting, or actuarial functions; consulting experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with programming tools (R, Python, SAS) and ability to work independently or in teams
