We are excited to be working with a leading and innovative consultancy on a new role for a Part Qualified Data Science Actuary. This organisation operates a very flexible hybrid working model and allows for fully remote working. In this role, you will be working as part of the insurance team alongside other staff members in banking and services. About the Data Science Actuary role
This role is highly collaborative, and you will work closely with clients, partners, and experienced colleagues to on a varied ran.
Duties for the Part Qualified Data Science Actuary role include (but are not limited to):
- Offering customised, innovative solutions using data science to solve business problems with programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or SAS
- Producing innovative solutions for clients, suggest solutions aligned with their unique business needs and ambitions.
- Maintaining a positive relationship with clients to manage their ever-changing needs
- Working as part of a collaborative team while embracing a culture of knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Reviewing or Enhancing Solvency II, IFRS17 ALM (Asset Liability Management), capital calculation or optimisation models and actuarial risk processes.
Actuarial skills required
This position would suit a Part Qualified Actuary who has a minimum of 2 year’s experience working in the life and/or non-life insurance sector. Candidates will ideally have experience of the following:
- Great analytical skills and communication and presentation skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to change and a fast learner.
- Proficiency in Programming languages (Python, R, SQL, SAS PowerBI etc)
- Develop a deeper understanding of insurance regulations including Solvency II and IFRS17
- Ability to collaborate as part of a team and driven individual.
