Our client has an opportunity to join a leading global actuarial and insurance advisor as a Life Senior Consultant. The successful candidate would join the actuarial team which works on a variety of both life and non-life business consulting and audit services across both the UK and Europe. This position is based in Dublin and has a hybrid work structure. This is an ideal opportunity for a Part Qualified/ Nearly Qualified Actuary with a minimum of 3 years professional experience working in life insurance, reinsurance, or consultancy. Ideally experience in one of the following is preferable – IRFS 17, Solvency II, Capital and Risk Management. The role may include opportunities to travel to assist other offices as necessary.

Duties for the Life Senior Consultant role include (but are not limited to):
- Work across a range of multi-disciplinary projects across different service lines.
- Develop core and technical life actuarial skills supplemented by general consulting skills.
- Confident and credible in client interactions and in leading more junior colleagues.
- Produce high quality outputs and help meet clients’ needs in a timely fashion.
- Participate in knowledge sharing across the project team and department.
Actuarial skills required
This Life Senior Consultant role would best suit a Part/Nearly Qualified Actuary with 3 years’ professional experience in a life/reinsurance/consultancy role. Candidates will ideally have experience of the following:
- Strong Analytical skills and great problem-solving skills.
- Disciplined individual with a professional attitude.
- Strong Communication skills both written and oral while also having confidence dealing with clients.
- Awareness of challenges facing the life insurance industry.
