We have an exciting new opening with a leading actuarial and insurance advisor as a Senior Life Manager. The successful candidate would join the actuarial team, working on a variety of both life and non-life business consulting and audit services. This position is based in Dublin and has a hybrid work structure. This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Actuary with a minimum of 5 years PQE (8 Years in total) in the life insurance/reinsurance or life consultancy industry. Experience in at least two of the following is preferable – IRFS 17, Solvency II, Financial Reporting and Capital and Risk Management.
About the Senior Life Manager role
Duties for the Senior Life Manager role include (but are not limited to):
- Management of actuarial and multidisciplinary projects, including both the relationship with clients and the performance of the internal team.
- Drive the production of client deliverables and assist management with the management of junior colleagues.
- Confident leading junior colleagues and in client interactions.
- Identifying client specific needs and adopt an account management mindset.
Actuarial skills required
This Senior Life Manager role would best suit a candidate with 5 years’ PQE and 8 years in total in a in life/reinsurance or life consultancy role. Candidates will ideally have experience of the following:
- Preferably experience in IFRS 17, Solvency II, Financial Reporting and Capital risk Management.
- Disciplined with an ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent both written and oral communication skills
- Excellent IT programming skills and actuarial software development experience. (MoSes, Prophet).
