Our client, a long-established international life insurer specialising in unit-linked products for expatriate customers, is seeking a Reporting Actuary / Actuarial Analyst for their Dublin office. This role sits in the Actuarial Reporting team and offers broad exposure across regulatory reporting, actuarial investigations, balance sheet production and financial metrics, in a collaborative environment focused on learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and validate actuarial balance sheets for multiple Group entities.
- Calculate and analyse PVNBP and VNB metrics for management and regulatory purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and submissions.
- Support experience investigations and contribute to actuarial assumption setting.
- Perform data modelling and analysis using Excel and Prophet.
- Collaborate with Finance and other internal teams to ensure timely completion of reporting tasks.
- Support wider actuarial and financial planning projects as directed by the Head of Actuarial Reporting and Financial Planning.
Required Knowledge & Experience
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
- 1β2 yearsβ relevant actuarial experience, ideally in life insurance or actuarial reporting.
- Understanding of unit-linked life products, preferably in an international/expatriate market.
- Experience or strong interest in regulatory reporting and actuarial reporting processes.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Prophet, DCS, SQL or R is an advantage.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and ability to work both independently and in a team.
