Our client has a great new opportunity for a Qualified Capital Actuary join a team of highly skilled Actuaries working at a major European Insurance Group. The successful candidate will work on the production and methodology of Solvency II Internal Capital Model and other related processes. This position is based in Dublin and has hybrid working options. This is a permanent role.
About the Capital Actuary role
In this role, you will be working on the Capital Actuarial team. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Contribute to actuarial and capital management tasks (SCR scenarios, monitoring, reinsurance renewals and portfolio transfers).
- Collaborate cross functionally with a variety of the group’s teams.
- Provide first line validation work, support model change and independent validation activities.
- Aid and contribute to the Finance, Capital, Reinsurance, Risk and Investment teams.
- Produce input and support to Solvency II compliance and other relevant regulatory reporting.
Actuarial skills required
This position would suit a Qualified Actuary who has several years’ experience working in an actuarial setting. Non-life experience is advantageous. Additional skills required include:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, finance and accounting practices, financial analysis and SII Capital Models.
- Experience in multiple functions preferred.
- Fluent English, Written Oral and great communication skills.
- Strong software and programming language skills (R, SQL, SAS, etc) and great technical and analytical skills.
- Competent at prioritising and planning and has a can-do attitude and customer focused approach.
