Role: Data Warehouse Architect

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Data Warehouse Architect for a multinational insurance provider based in Dublin. This is a newly created position with a fantastic scope for leading, designing and developing a strategic roadmap for a new Datawarehouse for the organisation. The role will include working with senior management and multiple business stakeholders along with delivering the new data warehouse - including data modelling, implementation, advanced data analytics systems and data warehouse input management across the organisation's global businesses.
Duties of the role will include but not be limited to the following:
Leading the data management solution through deep experience in Information management, data warehousing and analytics technologies
Develop a detailed knowledge of the underlying data and become the subject matter expert on content, current and potential future uses of data, and the quality and interrelationship between core elements of the data repository and data products.
Owns the business responsibility for determining the information the enterprise will capture, retain and exploit.
Data Architect will perform a key management and thought leadership role in the areas of advanced data techniques, including data modeling, data access, data integration, data visualization, text mining, data discovery, statistical methods, database design and implementation.
Setting the vision, gathering requirements, gaining business consensus, performing vendor / product evaluations, mentoring business and development resources, deliver solutions, training and documentation related to Data management.
Develop specific metrics for quality and consistency reviews of incoming data across businesses, platforms and geographic areas.
Candidates will have a combination of business knowledge, technical skills and interpersonal skills in order to define and guide data strategy. Individuals could come from either an IT or an actuarial background. You will have the ability to lead through experience and understanding of a wide variety of analytical processes, including but not limited to governance, measurement, information security and more. You should have demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders across the business to understand the business requirements and business processes, design data warehouse schema and define ETL/ELT Processes.
